Reflection 11/29/21

Today in Mr. Rease’s class we read a short story titled “Ambush.” It was about a veteran who recalls a time where he killed someone in war. He recalls this moment because his daughter asked him if he had ever killed anyone. He lies and tells her that he hasn’t. He will probably tell her one day, when she is more mature. We read through the story and answered some questions. The story brought up the theme that ones past affects their present.

Reflection 11/15/21

Today in Mr. Rease’s class we looked at sources for an informational essay. The main topic was about college debt. For the bell ringer, we named the college we wanted to go to and the tuition costs for 4 years. I was surprised to see that a lot of people did not know what college they wanted to go to. We talked about how we could pay for the tuition without being in debt. A scholarship seemed to be the only viable option since savings may not cover the entire cost. Today’s class was very informative.

Reflection 11/9/21

Today in Mr. Rease’s class we wrote a body paragraph. It was about whether kindergarten should be focused more on academics, or helping the child develop their social skills and creativity. The assignment was pretty easy. Writing a paragraph is much easier when using the guide. We focused on that the whole class period. Today was a pretty easy day. I am curious to see what we will do tomorrow.
