 Today in Mr. Rease’s class we played the same flash card game that we played on Friday. I got a lot of questions right. I kind of needed the extra points since I have been slacking with my blogs. At the end of the game Mr. Rease put everyone in the class’ name on a wheel and spin it 10 times. The people who were picked did not have to do a blog for the rest of the week. Unfortunately, I was not one of those people. But it did remind me to do my blog post today.

 For the bellringer we are supposed to write a blog about what we need to work on for the multiple choice section of the AP Exam. I think I need to expand my vocabulary. I also should try to understand the text more. I do not think there was that much I needed to work on.

 Today in Mr. Rease’s class we studied multiple choice questions. We had a passage to read and then we did 9 multiple choice questions about the passage. Most of the questions were pretty easy. The one that got most people was the last one. Most of the answer choices were words most of the class had not seen before. Most of us most likely need to expand our vocabulary. The day was pretty easy.

 Today in Mr. Rease’s class we read 3 poems and took a test on them. There were 3 questions per poem on the test. Most people failed, but luckily Mr. Rease did not put the grade in. The poems were imagery poems. None of them rhymed and one was two stanzas. They made me feel like I could be a good poet. 

  Today in class we speed dated prompts.

 Today in Mr. Rease’s class we took a test about it the book we were reading. The class average was a 76. After that we had a free day.

 Today in Mr. Rease’s class we continued presenting our PowerPoints. The PowerPoint I am going to talk about is the one about the Ukraine and Russia situation. I think that group had a good PowerPoint. One thing I think they could do better is be more organized. They had everything in a paragraph on each slide rather than bullet points.

 Today in Mr. Rease’s class we received a prompts and made an argument about it. We worked in groups of 2. I believe most people supported their group member in the argument. However, I think Mia and Ría argued against each other. They will present on Monday since we did not have enough time for everyone to present. It was a chill day today.

After reviewing my rhetorical analysis essay and score, I need to work on planning and writing faster. I think the main reason I did not get at least a passing score because I took too long to look for evidence and to come up with what to write. Another thing I might need to work on is finding rhetorical devices. I took a while deciding if certain lines where rhetorical devices or not. I should also be more aware of my time.

 Today in Mr. Rease’s class we had questions about The Yellow Wallpaper. We went through them together as a class. The questions seemed easy, but I don’t think I could have done it by myself. The questions were more about what things in the story mean rather than what was in the story. It was an easy day. We might read another story from the book tomorrow.

 Today in Mr. Rease’s class we read a story titled “The Yellow Wallpaper.” It was about a mentally ill woman in a room with yellow wallpaper. The story seemed very confusing, especially the ending. It was very short and we finished it in one class period. We will probably have questions on it tomorrow.

 Today in Mr. Rease’s class we continued the multiple choice thing we were doing yesterday. It reminded me of the lesson we did sometime last semester. The passage we read was about school funding in different areas. We also learned about footnotes and what the deferent parts of them mean. It will probably help me on the AP Exam since I did not know how to read a footnote prior to the lesson. We will probably continue the same thing tomorrow.

 Today in Mr. Rease’s class we reviewed techniques to use on the test. The first technique was for multiple choice questions. We split into groups and described characters from “Fences.” We picked the choices from each group and chose which one was the best answer. Next, we had to read a passage in less than 3 minutes. I do not really understand the big picture behind what Mr. Rease was trying to show us, probably because we ran out of time. We will probably continue it tomorrow.

I missed like the first half of Mr. Rease’s class. When I came in, the class was talking about the warmup. I can not remember what I thought it was about. It was something about black people though. Next we continued to read fences. There is not much to say about it. Maybe the plot will accelerate a lot more tomorrow.

 Today in Mr. Rease’s class we read a book titled “Fences.” It was a play and Mr. Tease assigned different characters to different people. I did not get to play a character. The play seemed pretty interesting. It was about black people. Maybe I’ll get to be a character tomorrow.

 Today in Mr. Rease’s class we looked over the rubric for the essay on the AP exam. We also looked at two essays. One of them was a two and the other a six. There is not much to say since that is pretty much all we did. It helps that I know exactly what I need to pass. We cut the class short and just did anything for the last thirty minutes.
